Production accelerates; control remains
A generative system produces an answer quickly, but someone must still verify its accuracy, legality and fitness. This vigilance is work: it requires time, skills, attention and sufficient authority to reject the output.
When that work is not recognised, the tool’s visible gain may be purchased through silent intensification.
Measure the complete chain
Evaluation should include data preparation, prompting, verification, correction, documentation and recovery after incidents.
The relevant indicator is not generation time alone. It is the total time needed to produce an outcome for which a person can genuinely take responsibility.
